Yo a bit of advice from an old GL main. As far as IJ 1 went, he was one of the gods if that game, and he's top tier as hell in IJ1. 1: Never use his super moves if you can help it, hes got one of if not the least damaging one of everyone. 2: Do you know how to use meter? Depending on what you're playing, it should be your right trigger as he does certain moves. Like that grab slam you were using, the meter burn version of that slams the opponent 3 tines instead of once. 3: GL has ranged options, all of which have an enhanced version which does more damage. He can fire a single bullet or unload a mini gun on them. His missle attack also throws in an extra barrage. 4: GL has some nasty melee combos, wouldnt be a bad idea ro take a look at those. If i had to guess you didn't actually look at the controls and are just winging it right about now by going foroves everyone can do. No shame in that we're all new to these sorts of games at one point or another, abd i myself only got ot down pat in the tail of ij2. 5: A lot of combos can connect into each other for some truly nasty damage output. As an example, if you have at least 2 bars of meter to burn and you're against that right side wall, you can start off with a meter burn slam, the end of which actually bounces your opponent off the ground to extend combos, hit then with a stage transition punch, wait for them to bounce off the wall, then unload with meter burn minigun. And that's just a basic thing you can do. 6: Green lantern is typically a zoner, and as such as air game. You can use your ranged attacks in the air. 7: When dealing with zoners yourself, like sinestro, you do have a light wall to block projectiles with. I believe it was ⬅️,➡️,🅰️/✖️ depending on of youre playing on xbox or PlayStation. If you're on PC then I got nothing. All in all, I don't mean to backseat game, but just a few tios to get ya started.
